Latigo Point in Los Angeles County is a fairly exposed point break. Summer offers the best conditions for surfing. Works best in offshore winds from the north northwest. Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the best swell direction is from the south. Likely to be crowded if working.

This beach offers good surfing, shore fishing and skin or scuba diving beneath the kelp forests. For surfing, there is a right-hand point break that favors a strong south swell.
Long right hand point break that will break on a strong South or South East swell. Long walk down beach below the high tide line. Limited parking in lot above.
Go here to avoid the crowds at Malibu. It breaks so rarely that many people do not even check it. It takes a little bit of effort to surf here.
